THE MOON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Over Many years people have been fascinated with looking at
them (stars). Our only satellite in space is the moon and that is what I am going to be telling you about today.
Firstly,Orbiting. The moon orbits earth for about 29.5 days (a lunar month). As it orbits we see different shapes called phases.
Secondly, phases. We have 8-9 phases. It starts off with New Moon which is completely black, Waxing Crescent which looks like a banana, First Quarter which looks like a half but is one quarter around the cycle, Waxing Gibbous is after 1st quarter, Full Moon which is fully lit up, Waning Gibbous is after Full Moon, 3rd Quarter which is the opposite of the 1st quarter , Waning Crescent which is also a banana and New Moon.
Last but not least, Human Exploration. Neil Armstrong was the first person on the moon and he was accompanied by Buzz Aldrin and 1 other person but only Buzz and Neil stepped out of the rocket.
Next time you look in your telescope look for the moon.
