Scarf Poems

The Scarf 1

Nana got me a scarf,
A fluff of cotton candy,
A sunrise of clouds,
A magenta pigs tail,
A pencil shade of its own,
A light sign that scolds away the cold.

 The Scarf 2

Nana got me a scarf,
A light little cloud,
A clump of sheeps wool,
A piece of paper,
A full moon,
An invisible sign that scares away the cold.

My Tinkercad Bridge Design

This is my beam bridge from tinkercad.  I put the pillars underneath the bridge so that when loads of cars or heavy trucks drive over the bridge it is way harder to break it. The ramps on the side are so that it is not the hardest thing in the world to get on to and off of the bridge.

A time when I was sick

“Ouch, I don't feel so good.” Bla! An orangey-green substance pours out of my mouth as fast as a jug pours out water. I’m clutching my stomach as I rush to the bathroom. I call out for my parents and they come rushing in trying to move me closer to the toilet. Orangey-greenish chunks keep pouring out of my mouth for over a minute! They end up all over my trip to the bathroom: in the hallway, in the bath, on the tiles, on the carpet, in and on the toilet, a bit on the shower, on me and my parents. Inside I felt the worst you possibly can but on the outside I looked perfectly fine. Later on in the day I had some serious cleaning to do! That was an utterly catastrophic morning!!!!!!!!

Swimming Memoir

My legs shivered and my hands quivered as I held my breath… “No, not yet I can't  do it yet!” But just as I said that my friend pushed me in! Blub, blub, blub, blub. I grabbed the edge of the pool just in time to grab a gasping breath. That was one of the only times that I was glad to be in dry land.  I was so scared to get back in but I jumped in anyway. I took one last gasping breath as my head plunges under.

What was running through my head was that I wanted to scream but I knew that I couldn’t due to me being under water. I was 80% under water and was sinking fast. I felt something grab my arm and I shut my eyes. I felt like breathing in so I did it anyway cause I knew that I was going to die.

“Ouch!” I yelled. My mum asked me if I was O K. I said yes  and I jumped in saying 1,2,3 Go. (I couldn’t swim so went back to drowning.)
“O, Come on! So dry land is where I stayed for the rest of the day (apart from when I jumped in and started drowning again)

My Special Place Memoir!

Just before the itty bitty suburb of Kaitaia, past the giant, dark brick like tunnels and wafting smells of Kerikeri McDonald's pulling people towards them, the ice cream store and long line of trees point out the driveway. It’s here that the tiny tree - red all year round - sparkles in the sun and waves to me in the wind.

Splish Splash. Under the blue tarpaulin my sisters and I each have our own big purple seashell to wade in. We have fun by throwing a tiny, bouncy tinker bell ball to each other.

Crunch crunch. We heard  crunching under our feet as we avoid the ditch to see the cows. As we are walking we spot the place where we hid our Christmas decorations pine cones. One of the cows come up to the fence for a nosey and scares my little sister! That’s my special place (my nana and grandads house). I’d love to hear about yours. So please tell me.

The Honey Bee

The head spies the good pollen flowers.

The thorax flutters the transparent wings.

The abdomen shakes the elegant stinger at angry humans.

The flower is swaying, limiting the spots for a landing pad.
